The Beginning
The Local Fish & Chip Co. was established in response to one simple question: “Where can I get good fish and chips these days?” With ocean-fresh ingredients, sustainably sourced our passionate team in the kitchen has answered that question. The Local Fish & Chip Co. brings you old-school fish and chips in a vibrant, modern dining setting, serving delicious, value and flavour-packed meals – from shore to your door.

“I grew up in a household that was all about food, with an Italian Nonna who enlisted me at an early age to crank the handle of the pasta machine and a mother who was a legend in Durban home-cooking circles. This early interest took me into the hospitality sector where I founded a successful gastropub before combining my love of food with a passion for the ocean to acquire GoodFood Enterprise – a food service distributor supplying eateries across KZN. Now, with The Local, I and our team extend our hospitality and love of good food to you.”
